Icons of apps won't go left. Something is blocking them on my Galaxy A54 5G

As the title says my icons won't move if I want to go left with them to another screen. Something is blocking them. A friend's son tried to help me. He went somewhere on my phone (Galaxy A54) and checked the finger movements. It is him who noticed and showed me that something is blocking my icons from moving left to another screen. He gave me 4 reasons why this may be so.

-1- Something, some A54 setting, is causing it, preventing my movements

-2- some app is blocking it (set a certain way to do so)

-3- screen protector, the glass sheet added to phone to protect it, is badly placed or something or other preventing my movements

-4- something is wrong with the screen (it was broken and replaced in the past but this problem I'm describing happened months later hence me placing doubts on this being the problem).

I am hoping it is 1 or 2 hence coming here for advice. If not then I must go to 3 and possibly 4

Hi,
Samsung apps on the home screen may not be movable if the home screen layout is locked. To fix this, you need to unlock the home screen layout in the home screen settings.

You can access these settings by pressing and holding on an empty spot on the home screen, then selecting "Settings". Toggle off the "Lock home screen layout" option.

Check in your homescreen settings that this is turned off, if it is on you can't move anything, but I find it strange that you don't see that notification when you want to move apps

@pintreee3: If you're referring to the Apps screen, and you have horizontal scrolling enabled, then take a look at the bottom of the screen, above the search bar, where you should see a sequence of dots. If the left dot is highlighted in white, then you won't be able to scroll left, as this is 'page 1'.

That can be fixed with Good Lock's modul Home Up ☺️

Just unlock the homescreen layout and then you can move they to where you want the app to be, then lock the screen afterwards. Simple👏

Have you updated to One UI 7? If so, the apps now move vertically, not horizontally like previously.

Can you move the icons to the right (new screen)? Then back again.

If so then the issue is that you are not allowed to create a new screen to the left of your home screen. This is reserved for google only.

Thank you all for your help.  My homescreen settings for icon movement are not locked. I never said I can't move them. I said I can't move them left (left to other screen). So yes, I can move them right but can't move them back left. If I move to an empty new screen (or not new screen) on the right I can't move it back to the left.

@ukraina2  Vertically? I tried that upwards and downwards vertically and it doesn't move. It seems weird that it would do so. where would it go? I found a video showing vertical scrolling. It isn't my case. I do have

@AndrewL No, I wasn't referring to the first page. I was referring to my 2nd and 3rd (from 3 to 2 or from 2 to 1)

@ukraina2  Sorry tried to edit post but I can't find how to do so here. My message to you was incomplete. I wanted to say, at the very end, I do have the latest version of the UI.
