I have an A71 i have an intermittent problem, with incoming calls. The caller can't hear me and I can't heat them.

Is this happening with all calls ?

If a particular contact it could be the other persons phone or masts.

Is this happening everywhere you go or for example at home ?

This could be mast issues or mast congestion.

Can you try your sim card in another phone as a process of elimination  ?

Sometimes forcing the phone on 2G via it's connection settings can stabilise calls.

Thank you so much for the advice. I did a reset and cleaned the sim, so far so good.

Having the exact same issue with mine except its for incoming and outgoing calls whether using my SIM card to make calls on the phone or through apps like Facebook
