I am trying to allocate a specific ringtone to my wifes contact in my samsung a54 so that i know immediately it is her ringing me. BUT. all of the advice i have found on goggle or watched in videos explains a process of how to do it BUT the procedure they talk about cannot be followed on my phone !!!!  I call up my wife's contact on my phone , press the "i" button and then the contact opens up.. At the bottom of the screen i press the 3 little dots and click on "Edit default Contact"  and then scroll all the way down but there is no option to change the ringtone.  Everywhere i have looked so far gives me the same procedure to change the ring tone , but that procedure does not work on my phone. Am i doing something wrong or is there another way to do this ?????? Many thanks Jimmy

Are you using the Google contacts or Samsung contact app for contacts. I personally have disabled the Samsung one and use Google's version and have just tried and set a different ringtone for a contact on my A54 with no issue.

Did you miss the view more option?
1.Open the Phone app.
2
Tap the contact.
3
Tap the Info icon to edit the contact.
4
Tap ”Edit”.
5
Tap "View more" and then scroll down and tap "Ringtone".
6
Select one of the ringtones already on your device, or tap + to search for a music file.
7
Select the music file you wish to use, then tap "Done".
8
Tap the back button and then Tap "Save"

He clearly wrote that he did, in fact, click bore more. I have the same problem on my phone. I have been doing custom ringtone tones for 1 million years. I have never had a problem. It’s the exact same on most phones including this one supposedly. But it’s not on my phone and I’m wondering if it’s a T-Mobile thing.

I had the same issue on my phone. No where does it say ringtone under “view more” or anywhere else. I was able to add new ringtones to my ringtone file but it’s the same ringtone for everyone. Now I’ve got to figure out how to disable Samsung contacts and see if that makes a difference. I’ve only ever used Google. And I ignore the Samsung option.

if I ever lose my phone break my phone my phone gets stolen anything, all my contacts are saved under Google and it’s not a big deal when I get a new phone. I don’t understand these people say they lost their contacts. Use freaking Google and you never will I never lose your contacts. I haven’t lost contacts in 20 years? I’ve had a cell phone since the 90s. And I haven’t lost a single contact since Google started syncing.
