My old Note 7 had a calendar alarm and pop up that would stay on until dismissed or time ran out. Then there's my new A51 and it just gives a little ding that is SO EASY TO MISS!

WHY IS THE ALARM NOT AN OPTION ANYMORE? MISSED SO MANY MEETINGS!

Please help me keep my job.

Sincerely,

Atheendof Mywitts

@Jesse1975: Please can you try opening the Calendar app > Tap the 3 lines in the top left > Tap the cog in the top right of the pop-up window > Alerts > Alert Style. Set this to 'Strong', then select 'Long Sound' and choose your preferred notification sound. You can also try utilising the Reminder feature (Calendar > 3 lines > Reminder) for additional notification options.

Well, I have to admit that I was trying to configure Google Calendar and not the Samsung Calendar.

Hey, thanks Andrew for saving me. Works perfectly!

Best,

Jesse

Handy, i never knew this. 2 years ago I inquired with samsun through samsung members app on how to integrate calender with my work alarm and wasn't made aware to this. I asked they request better integration with alarm options in calender app, it's still the same old with no improvements. I expected samsung to be far better at automation by now. I was disappointed with bixby and smartthings lack of triggers, conditions and actions 4 years ago when I invested in samsung expecting to have a good experience by sticking with one brand of products to integrate. I use home assistant to this day, it's free, I'm not locked to a product and it blows smartthings out of the water.
