I would not recommend a Self Repair, this is something which is best carried out by a professional. Accidental damage such as a cracked /smashed screen caused by impact, dropping or bending would not be covered by the warranty . There are some policies such as Samsung Care Plus and other services which provide cover. However if not applicable you would be liable for the full cost of the repair.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.
