Last night, I got an update for my A72 (A725FXXU4BVG1). I kept it on  scheduled install at 3 am in the morning. Next day I wake up I  found out my phone is switch off and stuck on android recovery mode.

When I choose try again of power off it comes back to this after trying to restart.

I cant detect this device on smart switch while connected to pc .

I want to know if I could backup data through Erase app data option. What does it actually erase. Is it same as erasing cache or wipe data / factory reset?

I can share the rescue logs if needed. Please help!

Sounds like the battery died whilst it was updating, yeah factory reset is the only option, I'm not sure if it will backup the device.

This is a very common issue with Android Smartphones. What you need to do is;

1. Factory data reset the phone

If not resolved.

2. Install the official firmware

If still not resolved

3. Enter recovery mode and wipe cache partition

If still not resolved you may check this article on bootloop. I am not sure whether I will be able to post links though;

There is no perfect solution apart from changing the motherboard if you still have warranty.

If not please try the tutorial mentioned in the above comment.

I guess I have to look for a motherboard

No warranty in my country

& a motherboard is expensive here

Did you tried the tutorial? It's a temporary fix.

You may also try contacting Samsung CEO support.

Yes I did

Flashed the firmware

I think it's a cpu issue

Please try installing custom recovery like TWRP and try resetting and wiping cache partition from there.

If still didn't help contact Samsung Service center.
