Galaxy A70 and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi channel width not possible anymore at 40Mhz-only 20Mhz

Well the title says it all when on  WIFI 2.4Ghz the channel width can only be 20Mhz despite the router being at 40MMhz channel width.  This effectively halves the internet speed the phone receives. 

Issue emerged after the latest OS upgrade to Android 11 that was done in April 2021. Before this, the phone was able to use 40Mhz channel width at 2.4GHZ WIFI. 

Sidenote: I have verified that only the Galaxy A70 faces this issue and no other device I have has this problem. Also tried with other routers as well that were  on 40Mhz channel width and the problem there persists as well for the A70.

I hope they fix this issue. Several models like A71 and 72 have same problem in 2.4GHz, ther dont do 40MHz anymore. In android 10 worked fine.

Hey. Did you fix the wifi 2,4 ghz 20 mhz issue?

Got an A32 yesterday and also here at max 72 mbit on 2,4 ghz with 20 mhz.

All other devices at home on 2,4 ghz 40 mhz and 150 mbit with my fritzbox.

Searched the whole day but couldn't find anything.

Is it the Android 11 software or the Galaxy A series?
