Galaxy A53 (US version) does not support dual SIM?

I purchased Galaxy A53 in the US. When I open Settings-About Phone, I see only one IMEI number. Is this normal?

Its tray has two SIM slots in which two nano SIM cards fit. However, when I insert a SIM card to slot-2, then the card is not recognized. I tested using two SIM cards. When they are inserted to slot-1, then I can use the network as expected. If they are inserted to slot-2, then they are not recognized. In the Settings - About Phone - SIM card status, every value is 'not available'.

The specifications say that this product supports dual SIM. The tray also suggests that two nano SIM cards can be used. But the Android OS on this phone does not recognized a SIM card inserted to slot-2. What is wrong with this A53?

I recently bought an A 53 unlocked from Best Buy in Honolulu, specifically so I can use my Canadian number and US number on the same phone.  We are into November and it still doesn't work.

Samsung better hope that one of the big class action law firms doesn't get wind of this.

Same here. I bought this phone thinking it was a Dual Sim, but only Sim 1 is working, Only One IMEI. I just updated it, still a single sim phone. Dissapointed

Likewise. The second sim is not recognized. An there is no SIM management menu. Dual sim is not enabled.

I got a software update with the One UI Version 5.0 and this enabled both the SIM card slots. I am able to see a SIM manager in the Setting - Connections  and the phone info shows IMEI 1 and 2

Me too. I got Android 13 and UI 5.0 update and dual sim capability was enabled. the only downside is that the Sim Manager feature is not that good as other Samsung phones:

-You can't set Call and Data  to be  independently default in each SIM; Primary Sim is the default for everything: Call, SMS and Data. I worked it around with Google Phone APP, there I can set the default Sim for calls or always ask before making a call.

-No Network Mode setting for secondary Sim.

I got the update to Android 13 and UI 5.0 also and it supports two SIMs now.  It's about time.
