Hi,

I bought my Galaxy A51 (A515F) in France a few years ago and it works perfectly fine. I live now in Canada where the 3G network will stop soon. My provider pretends my phone is not certified (by them) for VoLTE though this - global - model supports all Canadian 4G frequencies and VoLTE works perfectly fine in Europe. The only answer is this model is not compatible and I have to change it, preferably for a model they sell to be absolutely sure the phone will work on their network. Unfortunately, I need a phone with 2 sims (or e-sim) and a Sd-Card. According to Samsung Canada, there is no Galaxy A phone like this.

According to VoLTE Check app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kavish.voltecheck&hl=fr_CA&pli=1), the device and the operator support VoLTE. It is just not activated, but there is no more switch to toggle VoLTE on or off under "settings/connections" nor in the "phone info" where "VoLTE provisioned" is "locked" (greyed).

Is there any other way to activate this functionality ? I read it should be possible running some code (to write ?), but it is beyond my knowledge.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Even though a phone itself has the required functions and features some networks would not support for a particular feature, unless the phone was purchased directly from them so it has their network software pre loaded on it @Members_R7xBXH5

In regards to the firmware etc your talking about this probably involves changing the phone's CsC however this can be fraight with issues such as a unstable phone if done incorrectly. Have a look at xdadevelopers.com.  Be aware any such changes are performed at your own risk.

In regards to duel sim phones Samsung.com should have the specs on each of their phones.

Another source I use is gsmarena.com to check.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Just being curious about the CsC... An incorrect CsC will only affect the VoLTE ? The phone works perfectly in 3G (data and calls) and 4G (data).

Thanks
