Hi there. I wanted to buy an old Galaxy A34 (8GB /256GB) but i have some technical questions that I wanted to ask and find out:

1. Does the main and ultrawide cameras have a shutter button (to take photos) whilst recording a video in

1080p 60?

4K 30?

4K 60?

Does the selfie camera allow you to do those as well?

2. Can I switch to a different video recording format (e.g. 4K 30 to 1080p 60) on-the-fly?

3.  Is there an "HDR" option in the camera settings?

4. Has there been any quality of life camera updates in the past few updates?

Or...do i get the newer Galaxy A35 for those aforementioned features? Or an older S23-series phone instead?

Honestly better to get a older flagship phone that's either S22 or above because it is great value for money now that those phones are cheaper. I say S22 or bove because they have OS updates for another 3 years so it's really great till then.

Hi there. Most retailers won't sell the A34 as it is from last year due to Galaxy A35 being its successor. If you head over to the Samsung website, there are good deals on the A35 and Galaxy A55. It should have the features on the A35. I think A55 will have more. It all depends on your requirements. The S23 FE or A55 would be better.

Hi,

If you wear hearing ***** this may be of interest to you.

A55 and A35 do not have the capability for direct audio streaming to Oticon brand hearing *****. Strangely A54 does have this ability.

Its a real hassle to try and find a modern reasonably priced phone that has direct streaming to hearing *****. Most manufacturers cop out by including ASHA capability but that requires you to wear  a connection clip device for it to connect, a hassle most people can do without. Hearing ***** are already a pain.

Avoiding the S22 line due to the chipset. Prefer the S23 more (if we are comparing the two) as they have a Snapdragon chipset.

I had the S23 FE. Poor battery life, heavy & wide body. I sold it. Also had the A55. Tall, wide & heavy.

I'm thinking of maybe perhaps the S23 line due to their chipset. Shame the battery charging is still frustratingly slow for a 2023 device.

If you can afford it then go for it, refurbished phones are great and depending on where you get it from. You could return it within 30 days and even maybe get a warranty so try it out after doing some research.

With all respect i am not interested with your response.

Could we please stick to the question of the main thread. Cheers.

I would recommend the s23 series. I currently have the a34 5g and it's a nice budget phone. You shouldn't expect many premium features but I do wish I chose the s23 or waited for the newer a34
