I am a novice at taking photos with my phone. When I zoom in to a subject from a distance, the photos are very distorted and have a cartoon/comic book appearance. What am I doing wrong or is there a setting I should adjust?

@Members_fYpd3Eq: The Galaxy A12 features 10x Digital Zoom only. With this in mind, the further you zoom in to a subject, the more pixelated the image will appear to be. Furthermore, zooming in will amplify your movements, which can sometimes result in a blurring effect as it becomes more difficult to maintain a steady hand. With this in mind I recommend resting your A12 on something to steady yourself, or taking a picture without zooming in, then applying the zoom in the Gallery apps editing suite (Gallery > Select an image > Tap the pencil symbol at the bottom of the screen > Place your thumb and forefinger on the picture, and spread them apart to zoom > Save (or 3 dots > Save as copy)).
