So, I have a Samsung galaxy A12 that I received for Christmas in December 2021 and recently I noticed that 'other' and 'system are taking up atleast 85% of my entire 64gb of internal storage. note other is taking up 47GB of storage. I've tried clearing cache but to no avail. I am on the latest Android 13 system software. is there anything I can do?

The other referred to will be apps and app data. If you go to settings, apps you can go through the list and check how much storage they take up. From that page you can uninstall any memory hogs

@OwenBee

You can clear up the phone via > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.

A factory reset will do too but that's a last resort. Back up before.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
