Fast charging not fast!

Since the recent Android update my A22 5G takes about four times longer to charge, even though it says it's fast charging. Diagnostics say the battery is fine. Anyone else seen this?

I attached the phone to a brand-new Samsung adaptive charger with no difference. I installed a current meter and this shows that the device is charging at 810mAh and 4.09V - definitely not fast charging. I give up 😐

I seem to have stumbled on a workaround for this problem - disable your screensaver. I had the Colours screensaver set and as soon as I disabled it and made sure the screen was closed the charging went back to the previous times. I am baffled, however, as to why this should be necessary now when I've had the screensaver set up since I first bought the phone. Clearly something in the update to Android 12 has done it, but at least I can now get round it.

Also having the same issue, i updated a few days ago however problem only started last night.

I had same issue on previous device in January and Samsung finally replaced after months of back and forth.

Has anyone done a factory reset to see if it's worked?

I tried reset but that seemed to have no effect. I've found that disabling my screensaver puts charging back to almost normal, with the main difference being that charging starts off fast and slows as it gets near 100%. Perhaps that's the way it's supposed to work?

Thank you, unfortunately I don't use a screen saver so not sure why mine isn't working.

Do your USBC headphones work in it out of interest?
