Facebook Messages button has gone

Hi, i have a samsung galaxy a10, i use facebook through samsung internet as prefer it to the facebook app, the messages icon on the function bar at the top has been replaced by friends requests and videos, how to do i get the inbox button back as i cant see notifications.... I dont like it at all!

I know you said you don't like the Facebook actual app does that also include the Facebook messenger app? I'm just making sure you're aware there's a separate Facebook messenger app that you may like to use.

as for your query I don't use the browser method, be interesting to see if it does the same thing if you use Google Chrome browser or another separate browser.

I think you'll find this is a Facebook issue and not an issue with your device or browser.
To be certain, ensure your firmware and apps are all up to date and then close all browser windows, clear your browser cache and then shutdown and then restart your phone. If the problem persists, it proves the issue to be from the ever awful, Facebook dev team

Yes I know i can go through the messenger app to find messages but when facebook has always had inbox on the top row next to notifications it is very inconvenient

I tried chrome, it is exactly the same, so i am guessing its facebook 😞

seems like FB are doing some maintenance work or indirectly pushing people to use the apps.
