My father is the manager of a small business and recently an employee left on bad terms. He retrieved his work phone, a Samsung A40 but when it was to be repurposed to a new employee, it was noticed that although he resetted the phone, he did not remove his account, being locked to it. The phone is the company's property and my father still has proof of purchase. Is there a service Samsung provides to unlock the phone in such cases?

Is the ex employee willing at all to cooperate @ebm to remove the account even if by supplying the Samsung Account password ?
If he isn't then the best placewould have been a Samsung Experience Store / Samsung Service Centre but they are all temporarly closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
You could try contacting the Samsung Support Department for your country but as the password is a security feature to safeguard the Samsung Account they may not be able to help remotely. However it won't harm to ask.
