I am opening up this new message just to revive an existing message that is errantly marked as "Solved", even though the solution that is referenced clearly states that it is not solved. This problem centers around one of the two microphones within the Galaxy A12, mic 1 to be specific, that is no longer working. A growing number of people are saying the same thing has happened with them, which gives indication that something along the lines of a firmware upgrade or something of that nature is creating a problem. 

This is a link to the existing still-ongoing discussion concerning this problem, but which is errant...

Did it start after you used the 3.5mm audio port or bluetooth?

Same sht new day . I believe it's  planned obsolescence.  Makes phone unusable. 

My A12 phone was a track phone when bought. Then they chanced to total cell, then became total by Verizon.  The phone starts up still says track phone. I think the Mexican company that sold me the phone through Walmart.  I think they installed a update that killed the mic. Or Verizon did.

Using your tips, I fixed the mic problem but now the phone does not want to recharge: it says it's cold?!?!?! I am throwing it in the bin (non recycle!!!)  and I'm getting another phone! I've had this one a total of 5 days! Well done, Samsung!

I take it all back. Just needed new microphone.  China parts in a south Korean phone. New A15 made in Vietnam. Doesn't matter all made by communists. Same sht new day 🤪
