How to reconnect A33 to giffgaff for making calls and texts. Please remind me, as currently unable to use A33 galaxy as a phone

The obvious is to insert your GG SIM card and assuming you have an account with them your device should connect.

I'm sensing though that isn't the issue here?

Sim is in place. Lost giffgaff connection after an update and realise it's time to replace the phone

Ok so before you do that, I would recommend you perform a Reset MOBILE Network Settings which won't affect your data.

If that isn't an option, perform Reset Network Settings but please bear in mind you'll need to re input your WiFi passwords again.

If neither of the above work, contact GG and ask them to send you the settings by text.

The update shouldn't stop you from using your device 👌
