My grandads phone will not charge. It says it is charging but is not gaining any charge at all. I've tried restarting it and doesn't work. I've tried charging it in safe mode doesn't work. I've deleted the unused apps, doesn't work. Does anyone have any solutions

Could be the charging wire needing replaced or dirt in the charging port itself

If your not using a genuine samsung charger then try one if you can, it could also just be a case of the battery has failed.
You could also try wireless charging if the phone supports it.

Check that the port is clean. Not uncommon for build up of fluff and dust to get in and cause pin-outs to not connect properly.
Other than that then it would point to a failing battery due to damaged or exhausted cells. Only solution to that is getting a new battery fitted.
