Bluetooth connection to Galaxy Watch 2

My brand new Samsung A52 can't see my Galaxy Watch 2 on  Bluetooth,  or vice versa.  Any ideas how I can connect them?

Have you downloaded the Galaxy Wearables app? If you have I find it's best to connect from there. If not perhaps try connect to the same wifi as your phone on your watch then reattempt?

Thanks and apologies RXM, I realised about half an hour ago it's actually a Huawei Watch 2, and after contacting their support, it turns out that the problem was because I had not disconnected the watch from the previous phone before trying to set it up. I think that makes me a muppet. Thanks for taking the time and effort to reply through.
