A9+ OneUi8 One Handed Operation+ broken

Just did the OneUI8 update on my Tab A9+.

One Handed Operation + performs all gestures while open but on close removes a sidengestures completely.

I have tried reboots with it enabled,.without it and enabling it after a wait. I am not using navstar as it doesn't exist on the A series.

I have to disable OHOP to get basic back gestures.

I think you should Factory reset it. And Before that you should Backup Data

Why is the answer always to factory reset and have to reinstall and reconfigure everything from scratch?

If a watch spring breaks you don't reach forbthe hammer first. I'll keep trying and waiting for other options and ideas before that.

No, I absolutely did not factory reset this early in the diagnosis prossess. When did CSI burn down and rebuild a murder scene before investigation.

In answer to the laggy question:

There is no perceived difference with: anything since upgrade, one handed operation + installed and on or off, or uninstalled (reboots after every state change with OHOP.

The one thing noticed is, since upgrade, a legacy flash aftwr thw OHOP is enabled flash that it will now replace thw native Android gestures. This does not happen on my S and did not happen on my A9+ until the OneUI8 upgrade, and subsequent OHOP upgrade.

Have tried all combinations including 3rd party launchers, just as an exclusion principal.

But, as side gesture back is Android core and OHOP is a standalone app, it leans to a fundamental flaw in the current A series (at least for tablets) in the OHOP implementation currently, or a gap in my testing (outside the evidence wipe pish posh.

Again, if tou want to suggest something I can try, pre factory reset that I migjt have missed, please let me know.

Might just be a OHOP bug that the devs need to fix

just wanna say i have the same exact problem and situation. My A9 plus was updated to one ui 8 and i immedietly factory resetted for a fresh one ui 8 experience and have this issue also. this is not a factory reset type of issue. The one hand operation works in the app like swipping and stuff but not when outside the app for some reason

Yes. This is a software flaw in OHOP 8.6.17.0 on A series tablets. It correctly overrides the android level side swipes but is not elevated enough to add its replacement gesures
