  • Description: Add an option in the Camera app where a single tap on the viewfinder sets the focus point and automatically takes the picture once focus is achieved.

  • Current limitation: On Samsung devices, tapping on the screen only sets focus. The user must then press the shutter button separately, which can be slower and may lead to missed or slightly out-of-focus shots.

  • Why it’s useful: I had this feature on my previous Xiaomi phone, and it significantly improved my ratio of correctly focused photos. It is particularly effective for quick shots, moving subjects, and one-handed operation.

  • Suggested implementation: Include as an optional toggle under Camera settings → Shooting methods, so users can choose whether to enable it.

  • Benefit: Faster shooting workflow, improved focus accuracy in fast situations, and better user experience.

Thank you for considering this improvement.

If it helps, camera assistant has a setting where the camera can only take a picture if the subject is in focus. Solves at least the out of focus thing you mentioned
