A55 5g

As some of you are aware I use a a53 5g, I thought long and hard and took a very hard decision on buying the A55 5G I found one on eBay and didn't realize I had bought the sma556e ds not realising the e and the B models Are too different Ue codes so I phonded Samsung and asked if my phone was a UK version which it isn't it. It is American which voids the warranty , I've contacted the seller as advising what the lady said to me from Samsung is to replace the A55 with the b model

Although I am very pleased with the device and does what it's intended everything works will the phone still receive all software updates

Since it's a US model. You might struggle to receive software updates if your in the UK as the phone is designed to be in the US region. You can try using Smart Switich to see if there is any update available. But I would be careful when buying phones on Amazon or Ebay. As these phones could be imported from other countries and do not get updates within the Uk. I would recommend returning it. Black Friday isn't that far away, so there should be some deals on the A55.

The did do an update when I was setting it up I used the copy feature from my a53 5g waiting for the seller to to get back to me

Seller has said they are from Middle Eastern Vietnam

Ok. What is your phone service provider software version. If it EUX, then it's UK based.

A UK model should have a CSC as EUX made for the UK market. Even throu most Samsung phones are manufactured and made in Vietnam then exported to the country for use in that country. So an US model will only receive the software updates when they are released in that country.
