Hopefully someone can help, I have a new A53 and is fine initially connecting to a PC or laptop but during the setting up of apps mainly Android Auto and maps it will then show USB not recognised when connecting to my car Peugeot 2008 2020 model, my pc or laptop.
The local vodafone store couldn't fix the issue on my phone so exchanged with a new phone and I'm now getting the same issue with this one and the only way to fix the issue is to do a factory reset. I need this phone to connect to my car via a cable so I can use maps for directions. My previous phone (Huawei) worked fine. Can someone help please

Finally sorted it after much searching and having bought a couple of known data cables and it still not working a found a post on the web where someone had the same problem and bought a Samsung data cable and it worked, so I bought one and low and behold worked straight away, problem solved

Hey, a little late to this, but... keep the usb cable connected to your device** and the phone and restart your phone. When I do this, the device will recognize the phone and everything is great. Please try it. If it works, you'll know to tell folks about this solution. Have a good one!

I had to try a few different cables from my inventory before finding one that worked. It was not Samsung, but more expensive braided heavier duty vs. the first two I tried.
