A50 unable to call after android 10 update

Hi,

I've been unable to call since the Android 10 update, I thought it would get fixed with the security update but still nothing.

Seems like it's the microphone? Ive tried voice recorder and that's also not working.

When calling I hear no dial tone, nothing from the other end, and they can't hear me. If I change it to speaker, I can however hear the other , but they not me.

I've also tried hard resetting my phone but that didn't fix the problem

Oh no, Rob! 😞 Could you try testing both the microphone and the speaker through Samsung Members >> Support >> Interactive tests. It sounds like something is wrong with your microphone, but it's a bit odd that you don't hear anything unless you put your phone in speaker mode either.

Hi,

Okay i tried the microphone test in the members app and it doesn't work. Also with *#0283# and get nothing back.

It would be simple to say that the microphone is broken but i dont think so because it was working fine just before the Android 10 update

Any ideas?

That's correct. You could try creating a back-up with Smart Switch and resetting the phone. If that doesn't work, your last option is to visit a service center or use our pick-up service:  https://bit.ly/2jwV3SJ
