A34 or a35

I am looking to get a new phone soon. Do i get the a35 because its newer? Or do i avoid it because of the exynos 1380 and go with the a34 which has the mediatek 1080?

If you have the budget, probably go with the new phone.
I wouldn't get hung up on the whole Exynos thing.
In normal use your not going to notice any difference.
Look into the features etc and see what suits you best

Is the a35 better for gaming compared to a34

I too would go A35.

Personally I won't have an Exynos S Series device in my hand but for A series they are fine.

As @Glenntech and @Piper123 mentioned already i would go with A35 as well it's never model both pretty much the same spec wise the difference is in processors whitch you should be fine for gaming and other daily tasks if you go with exynos, camera gets 50 mp instead of 48 mp on A35 and also gets gorilla glass victus +.
Also A35 base model starts with 128gb memory and 6GB of ram while A34 base model is 128 gb and 4GB of ram so for gaming etc A35 would be better.

The a35 feels more solid and premium compared the a34 plus you have a more modern hole punch in the screen rather than a (now dated) tear drop.

I don't think you'll notice the difference between SoC's at this price point.

Cameras are the same on both.

I'd agree with the others and go for the newer phone. The other thing to bear in mind is the newer model is likely to get updates for longer. Good luck with whatever you go for
