A22 Microphone poor sound

Does anyone else have serious issues with sound recording on the #GalaxyA22? I've been trying to resolve this since August 2021, I even posted a youtube video demostrating how awful is sounds back-to-back agains an old Huawei smartphone https://youtu.be/x7TsgTN7LrM). Everything recorded sounds like it's under water. The sales assistants at Tesco Mobile have never been interested once they'd sold it to me, just said it must be a setting somewhere, but I've had nearly 2 years trying to correct it and never found a solution. Can anyone advice?

Check if there is anything blocking the mic

Compared to my a70 the a22 5g has a wider mic and speaker at the top so it's easier to get dust or breadcrumbs in my case stuck in it

I have the same problem with 2 a22s purchased at the same time for myself and my daughter. We record a lot of small gigs she plays at and the sound is so awful l had to go back to my old Moto for recording.  Sound is tinny, as described 'like under water'. Tesco and Samsung not helpful / not interested. Since both phones are the same from the start I can't see how suggested 'repair' will change anything. After 18 months looking to buy sthg else.
