I noticed since August Update I can't turn on 5ghz hotspot anymore.
After some experiment, finally I can turn on the hotspot using some trick.
- Turn on Developer mode first (Google it!!)
- Navigate to Developer Options > Networking > Tethering hardware acceleration, disable the toggle.
- Turn on your mobile data (REQUIRED). Required to trigger the 5GHz hotspot frequency.
- Navigate to Connections > Mobile Hotspot and Tethering > Mobile Hotspot > Configure.
- Change the band preference to 2.4 GHz first. (REQUIRED !!!).
- After Mobile hotspot established go back to Configure.
- Change the preferred band to 5GHz, then Save.
- Enjoy.
You can even use it while connect to another WiFi network. It looks like the error is stemmed from OneUI conflict with android 12 Wifi AP/AP concurrency function.

Galaxy tab S10 Ultra 5G missing 5GHz band for hotspot share as well.
On tab S9 with EUX region there is a slider so you can choose the bands for sharing a hotspot.
On tab S10 with XXV region there is 2.4GHz choice only in the locked line, so you can't modify it.
On tab S10 with EUX region there is - 2.4GHz - or - 6GHz WPA3 WiFi 6 - choices only, and nothing about 5GHz.
Samsung blocked 5GHz for some reason, so at this moment tab S10 is more inferior than tab S9.
I take it as a hoax because there is no warning of such an inferiority and I wouldn't buy an S10 knowing it.
