5G network lost

Hello!

Recently, my operator allowed me to use 5G (NR) network. I did not have it for some time and, at one point, I put my SIM card from SIM 1 to SIM 2 slot, and my phone instantly connected to 5G. Everything was fine for that day, I just noticed that battery drains faster and the phone heats up more than usual. I turned on power saving for a few minutes just to see if it disconnects from 5G. When I turned it off, my phone connected to 5G only for a few seconds and then lost 5G network. I have not been able to connect to 5G ever since.

I received a new SIM card, performed mobile network settings reset, rebooted the phone multiple times, switched the airplane mode on and off, updated software, but with no success. The phone connects maximum to 4G+ (LTE_CA).

I attached a few screenshots from the time when I had 5G network and from now.

The phone is Samsung Galaxy A54 5G (SM-A546E).

Has anyone faced with a similar problem or does anyone know how to solve this? I would be very grateful.

Yes. These are all NR bands.

Thanks. Apologies, I may have been looking at a non international model.

So, your second screenshot suggests 5G NR is available in NSA (non standalone) mode.
5G in NSA mode is heavily reliant on existing 4G LTE infrastructure and 5G is addded on top. However, it looks like NR state (NSA) is restricted. This points to a SIM problem. It usually means 5G is not active/available for the sim. Is this your new SIM? Check with M:Tel

Didn't M:Tel release a statement recently (June 2024) saying 5G was just rolled out in Podgorica. Maybe they're having teething problems?

They activated 5G for my number and I had 5G connection. I also thought that my SIM card could be faulty so I requested a new one and got it. When I put a new SIM card, 4G+ was maximum I could connect to so I contacted the customer service. They said 5G is activated for my number and it's not due to SIM card, because if it works with 4G, it will work with 5G as well.

My friend has Galaxy S22 and he also uses m:tel. He can connect to 5G with no problems and the speed test shows speed slightly below 1 Gbps.

As I said previously, when I put my SIM card into another 5G capable phone, 5G network works without any issues.

Is there a way access some advanced network settings such as service mode (*#0011#)? I tried dialing this code, but it doesn't work on my device.

Thanks. Where did you get it from? Is it definitely the international version?

I bought it in Montenegro. It is the international version. I used previously a T-Mobile SIM card and 5G worked all the time. M:tel SIM card worked as well, but now I cannot acquire 5G signal at all, no matter the operator.

P. S. Recently, I changed my CSC to SEK instead of SKZ. I thought that could be a problem so I changed CSC back to SKZ, but nothing changed.

You got it from Montenegro but where from? New or used? SKZ is a KAZAKHSTAN code!!!!!!!

I got it in Montenegro, and it was brand new. It wasn't used before.

Yes, I know it's Kazakhstan code. It's probably the firmware. It shows SKZ, SEK, CAU, and TUR as available CSC codes for this device. I tried all of them and still didn't acquire 5G network. It's probably not due to CSC changing.

What CSC was the device supplied with out of the box? If it was SKZ then It's more likely to be an Asian handset, for use in that region only.
