Hi there, has anyone whose having severe issues with battery drain / apps crashing etc tried wiping the cache partition. I do this after every software and security update. This may help with issues.
To do this.
Turn off phone
Insert power cable or headphones into USB c port
Turn on phone while holding volume up and power button and wait till you see menu.
Scroll down to wipe cache partition using volume down button.
Select using power button, then reboot system.

Hi @Graykenhill  Thanks for highlighting that wiping the cache partition can definitely help with some problems.  A number of Members in the community perform this regularly and we have mentioned it a fair bit, however obviously not everyone is aware.

Hi @Mefistos  Wiping the cache partition  will not always help  but members have found it useful.   You could try booting into safe Mode and test the apps before restarting as normal.  For the benefit of others interested To boot into safe Mode

  1. Press and hold the Power key until the "Power off" screen is displayed. ...
  2.  Tap and hold the "Power Off" icon until the “Safe mode” option is displayed.
  3.  Tap “Safe mode”.
  4.  Your device will restart to show the home screen in Safe mode.
  5.  Power off your device.

If that does not help next step is to perform a Factory Reset  (vital to ensure Data is backed up beforehand)   Whist some customers may be reluctant to try this may be advisable if nothing else helps.

However some problems may only be fixed with updates to the software.

@Graykenhill,

Thank you for sharing your tips with other users 😉.

However, if wiping cache partition doesn't help, it is always recommended to report the issues via the Samsung Members app, so that our developers can analyze the problem 😉.

Cannot boot into recovery mode to wipe the cache partition, just boot up the OS normally and pops up with thisScreenshot_20211201-230825_One UI Home_3735_1638400132.jpg
