No more lag - fixed itself ???

Something has been updated in the background. No idea what, google play services, some dodgy app ? No idea, but all the lag and freeze problems have stopped for me. Using 120Hz refresh no probs, been good now for over a week. No crashes or issues. 

There's still no obvious useful improvement over android 11 but google says it looks prettier. I'll take their word for that.

It came back with a really bad freeze when trying to post to instagram. I could not see a link because my last update for that was a week ago and I've had no problem until this one time.

I had to force the phone to power off. Then I did a boot into recovery and cleared the cache partition and once again all is fine ever since.
