Hi @kkreddy Are you on the Ui 8.5 Beta and have you tried much Troubleshooting?
some ideas are as follows: check there is no issue with cable. You may need to set a default via Developer Options? Developer Options-Default USB Configuration, Transferring Files.
If Developer options not set up Go to Settings-About Phone and tap Build Number 7 times. Will need to enter password ,Pin or Pattern at this point. See more details here: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-turn-on-the-developer-options-menu-on-my-....

However if that does not sort it try to reset the settings of the USB port of your phone. To do this, go to Applications and Activate "Show system applications" by tapping the 3 lines to the right of Your Apps, select ok.

Find the USB settings app and in storage, delete the cache and data. Restart the device and see if that makes a difference.
if still no resolution another idea is to dial *#0808# in the Samsung phone App (with Auto blocker turned off) and select MTP (media Transfer Protocol) or PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol) . credit to @lminvti who has mentioned this previously.JAMES4578_0-1771627838756.jpegJAMES4578_1-1771627839028.jpeg1771629571632.jpg

@kkreddy,

Thanks for your post. Here are a few things you can check first:

  1. Make sure your USB cable is working properly and supports data transfer (not just charging).

  2. Try connecting to a different USB port or another PC/Mac to rule out a computer-side issue.

  3. Check that your phone shows the proper USB mode (e.g., File Transfer / MTP) when connected.

If none of these steps help, you can try restarting your phone. If the problem still persists, reporting it through the Samsung Members app is the best way for developers to investigate.
