💯I want this option back. I use the secure folder to hold all my sensitive apps, data, and things like my Microsoft Entra Administrator login shortcut. I need to be sure that even if my phone is snatched from my hand whilst unlocked, these apps and data remain secure and locked down.

Some of these apps in the secure folder I access via a shortcut from the regular homescreen. Accessing them now leaves the whole secure folder unlocked, without even having the option to click "lock and exit".

The whole point of the Secure Folder is that, unless you are actually in the Secure Folder, it is locked even whilst the phone itself is unlocked. Now that is no longer the case - the Secure Folder can at best be set to relock when the screen goes off - ie the Secure Folder only locks when the phone locks. So what is the point?!

Thieves target unlocked (ie in use in hand) high-value mobiles. The day my phone gets snatched from my hand in use, what confidence can I have that I didn't leave the Secure Folder open? This change fundamentally undermines the utility of Secure Folder.

Please bring it back! It is not actually secure if someone was to get ahold of your phone before you turn the screen off. It was the best secure folder app until now!

Why in the world would they remove the MOST useful feature of Secure Folder? I keep multiple apps in there: Whatsapp, Mail, Slack, Camera, Gallery, etc.

Imagine that you are on the street writing something in Whatsapp and a thief snatches the phone from your hand, the damage is minimal, they only get access to Whatsapp but the other critical apps are still protected. And even so, the moment they minimize Whatsapp that gets locked too. But with the "new and improved" Secure folder all of that is gone, EVERYTHING is exposed the moment the phone is stolen unlocked.

Millions of people choosed to trust Samsung with their most critical data and overnight you betray them in such a shocking way?

And i bet most don't even realize that this terrible change. Until it is already too late.

This should not be "passed as a suggestion", everyone at Samsung should work day and night to restore the security and FIRE the team that even had this thought in the first place!

And it's such a pointless change. Just leave it as it was, one option among several and let users decide, instead of deciding for them. And what does it save - a few lines of code, which are doubtless still there but commented out. Ridiculous, yet far reaching in the potential consequences.

A far better change would be to include an option for what happens when you exit from an app in the Secure Folder: a) drop back to Secure Folder (more convenient when pursuing multiple tasks with the Secure Folder environment, but less secure), or b) drop out of Secure Folder back to regular home screen (more secure, but less convenient). But in all cases there should be the option that the Secure Folder locks on exit.

Funny thing is that Mororola just added this option to their Secure folder together with a separate App Lock feature, and Samsung removed it ????
What in the world were they thinking? I paid a ton of money on my Samsung device just to have the most important feature cut-off overnight? I guess i need to burn all my samsung devices and get a $200 Motorola phone to benefit from the best security features
