Oh yeah you're right. I never realised it was missing

and we can see the contents preview through the recent apps menu.🥵

Once you turn off the screen and reopen the phone, the secure folder app doesn't appear in recent apps at all.

This is only when the folder is opened and unlocked. You can also hide apps from appearing within secure folder if you're worried.

Just press the lock 🔒 icon in the main menu, this closes the secure folder and locks it.
