Recovery mode - not accessible

Good afternoon all, I've tried about ten times to enter recovery mode to clear my cache partition, but it either goes into safe mode or just restarts, at first I thought it was human error but I believe it's a bug with the software.

Plug in your phone to a laptop or even an other phone and try it again. S25 U

I had the same.issue but if you try another cable and plug it into the TV or laptop and do it again it will work

Yeah you need to connect the phone to a laptop.

Just cleared my cache with my pc works fine 👍

As others are saying, modern one ui adds an extra step. You need to connect your phone to a usb device when you do it. Pc, laptop, ps4. Anything with data

Rebooting means no usb or not holding the buttons long enough.

Safe mode means you held the wrong volume button

Hi all, I know that you have to plug the device into a laptop to activate the recovery mode, whilst pressing the volume up button whilst pressing the power button, but what I've found that's changed is the longevity of how long pressing the buttons matthers, now i press both buttons for a very sort time, near enough instant & that activates the recovery mode.
