One UI 7: Bluetooth and alarm icon not showing in status bar (top right)?

Seriously Samsung, why??? Please at least allow people to select which icons they want to see. Knowing about a connected(!) bluetooth device or an alarm that is set is absolutely essential. Needs to be visible without swiping down first.

I just got the oneUI 7 upgrade three or 4 days ago. I'm rolling out back tomorrow. I feel like they took the lean and clean look so far to the point it seriously hinders usability. I have the ultra, I want a big screen,  so I can have lots of things on it,  not lots of empty space. Duh.

It's very important to have icons like Bluetooth, headset, alarm, and performance mode visible in the status bar. Here's why:

If I have a Bluetooth speaker paired and forget it's connected, I might play a personal voice note without realizing it's going to the speaker—now everyone nearby hears it. Same with the headset icon: if my earphones are unplugged or malfunctioning and I don't know, audio plays through the speaker instead of in my ears.

Alarms? Don't even get me started—it's essential to know at a glance if one is set.

As for high performance mode, I used to turn it on for certain tasks and rely on the icon to remind me. Now, I forget it's on because there's no quick way to see it, unless I dig through the settings.

Adding another response to please allow us to show our icons. I NEED to know at a glance when my headphones are connected. I've had a Samsung ever since the S2 and I've always been very happy. Please don't make me reevaluate that.

I need to get ALL the icons back that I had before,  INCLUDING my weather app, e-mail, connected devices and messages, so I can once again glance at my phone without having to work so hard to get the information I need so I can start my day, like what to wear, etc, before leaving my home.  Having to pull down for everything just horribly disturbs the flow  .

I have never commented on a thread and I had to specifically sign up to be able to comment this. 

This change is daft and needs fixing. Bring back bluetooth and alarm icons you muppets
