One UI 7 Beta 2 first impressions

My few impressions from Beta 2 i installed yesterday on my S24 Ultra.

Can't say anything about changes in default launcher and appdrawer because i use Nova Launcher.

- New camera interface changes are really nice. Easier to use. Don't see any new functions tho.

- I think photo quality from zoom lenses is a little bit better, but might be a placebo and that will need more testing.

- Customizable quick setting panel is great. One thing missing is the option to disable some panels (i.e. media control) - you can only rearrange them.

- i'm still on the fence about more rounded buttons and notifications. I think i preffered previous ones more

- Notification grouping. Needs getting used to i guess. I missed some notifications because i forgot they group now and it's not that noticable at first glance that there are more of them. I would like the option to turn the grouping off.

- Now bar - ahhh, Samsungs attempt at creating "the pill" from iOS. The problem is that "the pill" is well integrated in the system - it has dedicated place on the screen on iPhone. On Samsung it just gets in the way all the time, obscuring other elements of ui. It's ok on the lockscreen tho. Apparently it needs more apps support. It's understandable that it will come later on and app creators must change the apps to utilise it. For now it's a little bit of a gimmick.

- new pillshaped battery icon - it feels out of place, doesn't fit other icons and sticks out like a sour thumb. Especially that it stays now on the AOD. I prefered the small text on the bottom. You could easily see from the distance how much battery you have left. Now you have to get near because the % number on the icon is small. Maybe GoodLock will have the option to change it?

- the fact that you can't change the transparency of the notifications on the lockscreen anymore is a big let down.

- bigger left and right padding on the status bar is bad. It makes all icons feel more cramped up. Also icons and clock don't really align with anything in apps anymore. It feels weird and clunky.

- no major bugs so far

Agree with the pill shaped battery icon....it needs to go. Yes, the padding on either side of the status bar needs to expand more too. "Now" pill doesn't clear easily for me on the lockscreen. I swipe it away but it keeps coming back....even if I don't have the music app open or playing a song anymore. I also believe the day/date is not possible anymore on the status bar.....we should have the option to have it or not.
