Hello, How many beta updates are there usually?

This is my first time joining the beta, as I have the S24. I am just wondering how many beta updates there will be, given that Samsung is supposed to release the S25 very soon in January. Do the updates come through like regular software updates?

Typically, there are around 3–6 beta updates before the stable version is released. These updates do come through like regular software updates, but they may be more frequent since beta builds are focused on testing and fixing issues.

I have joined many of the Betas in the past and the number really varies. Sometimes I have seen 2 a week but unless there is a severe defect then the highest frequency would be weekly. During the more recent Betas the updates have been less, I guess this is down to Samsung improving in there development.

To answer your other question yes Beta updates are received via the usual software update.

There won't be many as the polished version needs to be ready for the 25 Series in the next month, normally they go 1 or 2 a month with betas but not normally as smooth as this

We want to release the stable version as soon as possible, but our priority is ensuring that bugs are fixed, and that the new software is tested to avoid new, sometimes more problematic bugs. So the number of Beta releases is not set and highly depends on how the tests go 🙂
