No.
I want to be able to disable the recycle bin.
Restore this functionality. Now.

Please, I think most people want this reinstated. Why delete a photo just to have it stay on your device? It makes no sense.

These "deleted files" take up space within the 30 days. This will affect your storage space within that time if you do not manually delete these files.
This can be tested have as follows.
Create a video, 8K for a few minutes. A file can reach a few GB easily. Using a file manager copy this video file multiple times to full space as much as possible. Once your storage space is deleted, use the gallery to delte these videos into the recycle bin. Files will be removed as expected. Storage space is not recovered as the files are only moved (as I have stated before)
So @AnnaMaz, your statement in your first comment saying space is freed up is incorrect.

It is one of the few annoyances introduced in OneUI 6.
There are plenty of things that needs to be changed. With android versions, I am tired of seeing changes in colors and corner radius of the elements as the focusing features. These are not features. I don't care what code changed in the background. Instead of introducing new features, removing features is a pure dictatorship over the consumers.
Samsung did a great job since Galaxy S10 series in terms of software efficiency. But are good days coming to an end?

Please bring the option back to disable the trash can. It is not useful as most people back up their photos daily and if we delete a photo it is usually to open space immediately not for later. Those that want to store their photos "just in case" can toggle the option back on.

bring the option back.
the phone was damned expensive, why would anyone pay you that kind of money, only to have freedom and options removed?

Please put back option to turn off the recycle bin. Stop do apple-like things and remove possibilities to setup things as users want it to be.

Well... Buy a new high-tech device and get the latest update of features that will make your device more unmanageable... We are going somewhere in the wrong direction. Somewhere in the direction of the iPhone. Somewhere in the wrong place. But I bought my S23 Ultra for the opposite purpose.
So, I need the ability to disable trash in Gallery.

I'm not using this app until the basic functionality of actually deleting something when I click to delete it us back. Now I'll have to use some google app instead of the one that literally is made for my phone.
