One UI 6.
Gallery
Option to disable recycle bin is no longer present. This means that photos that are "deleted" to free up space remain and actually still take up space for another 30 days.

The option to disable the bin needs to be restored. I do not want deleted items stored in bin for 30 days I want them deleted.

Option to disable recycle bin is needed. Why take the choice away ... or do you take your users as incapable of making decisions by themselves? In which we should all start using Apple 😉

It's a shame to have to post here, that we want this option back. In ANY App or OS in the world, starting with Windows 95 (not sure, maybe even  earlier on Mac), this was an option, because it's totally a personal choice thing. Some people think BEFORE they delete stuff and don't need or want a trash / recycler, because it generates an unnecessary  workflow that slows everything down. In Samsung Contacts and Calendar it's still an option, why not in Gallery, where the files are as big as it gets, and it makes most sense to be able to delete them ?

@asajadi84. Why? Caledar has a bin, Messages has bin, Notes has bin.

Its inconsistent with other apps. It's not saving space (Samung bloat their phones already) and it is not secure.

I know I'm late to this party but I agree 100%. I have no problem with Samsung ADDING stuff even if I don't use it bur removing functionality just seems idiotic.  I can't now remember what it was I wanted to do, but it is functionality BUILT-IN to Android that Samsung just decided to disable, it wasn't earth shatteringly important but would have made my life a teeny bit easier. Been with Samsung since the S3 apart from a brief flirt with Huawei [but bad integration with Google ecosystem due to USA legal stuff sadly ended that, shame as the phone was outstanding), but having played with my mother-in-laws Pixel 7 I'll be giving Google's own stuff a try next.
