The Virtual Aim Point feature is a poorly designed gimmick that appears to have ignored customer feedback across multiple generations of Odyssey monitors.
The available crosshair options are excessively large and obscure too many pixels, making them impractical for use in many competitive FPS games. Their size causes the crosshair to cover distant targets, reducing accuracy and making precise aiming more difficult rather than easier.
I originally purchased the Samsung G7 specifically for this feature and continued using it despite my reservations. In hindsight, I regret not returning the monitor while I had the opportunity.
I am currently looking for a second monitor to complement my setup and provide a 1440p option for certain games. However, after reading numerous reports from other users raising the same concerns, and seeing little evidence that Samsung has acknowledged or addressed the issue, I no longer consider Samsung a viable option for gaming monitors going forward.
This would be a relatively simple issue to resolve by providing additional crosshair size and style options through a firmware update. Until then, the feature falls well short of what many competitive gamers need.
Please listen to your customers and release a firmware update that allows on of two things-
1.A customisable cross hair
2. A option for a single tiny dot in various colours and sizes.
