My USB DAC is connected to a Chromebook Plus via USB C. It is only recognised if insert it in the USB C port before reboot, if I attach it when Chromebook is running it is not recognised and I have to reboot. I also do not get a notification to say that "USB device detected" when I insert it. The DAC works perfectly when inserted into a USB C drive on a Macbook or into my Galaxy s24 phone so I know it's not an issue with the DAC.
Any help appreciated
Thanks
Edit - I have tried this on both USB C ports, and also the USB A port

That’s odd, especially since it works on other devices. It sounds like a Chromebook USB detection or power/driver issue rather than the DAC itself. You could try updating ChromeOS, checking USB settings/flags, or using a powered USB hub to see if it makes a difference.
