I recently bought an M8 Smart Monitor, but I’m experiencing noticeable mouse ghosting/lag when using it. This issue can be fixed by turning on Gaming Mode and adjusting the response time setting, but I have to do this every time I connect my computer via USB-C.

Is there a way to change the default settings to increase the response time permanently?

Is the mouse connected directly to the monitor or via a PC?

It seems like it's a problem with the signal from the PC to your monitor, have you fine tuned the mouse settings on the PC? What speed signal is your PC sending to the monitor meaning 60hz, 120hz, 144hz etc? The lower the number the more ghosting.

Yes my mouse settings on my PC is fine tuned. The monitor is set to the highest of 60hz. I think this is a common problem with the monitor. Here is a discussion of the same problem on the apple forum: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/254972150?sortBy=rank

Do you have any dpi settings directly built into the mouse? My logitech can for example have the dpi adjusted either by the app for the mouse or directly on the mouse with a switch.

The ghosting happens regardless of what input device/dpi settings I am using. But when I enable the gaming mode on the monitor the ghosting disappears.
