Hi all,
I recently installed my my 870 4TB QVO as a secondary/storage and everything seemed ok because I could download games onto it. It wasn't until I booted my PC up the next day, to be met with the blue windows icon and white loading circle, for me to realise something wasn't quite right. It now takes a while for the machine to boot-up despite not being the OS drive. I can't play the downloaded games and any footage I have recorded to the drive I can open eventually after a big freeze but the video is constantly stopping/trying to catch up. When I try to copy the recordings over to my primary hard drive I'm getting transfer speeds no higher than 1MB/s.
I ran a CrystalDiskMark check and it would seem the write speeds are ok but the read speeds are non existent. Is this a defect SSD or is there methods I can take to improve the SSD? I have changed the SATA cable but no change in speeds...
