Hello and Happy New Year,
Since I purchased a Samsung 860 EVO SSD it has never been recognised by Magician. I get a message "This Drive Is Not supported" It is displayed as "SSD 850 EVO 250G" and not "Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB" as it should be.
I contacted Samsung back in April 2018 and they suggested a few things to fix the problem.
1. update IRST/Asmedia/Marvell driver to latest version
2. uninstall IRST/Asmedia/Marvell driver and use MS windows standard driver
3. Mount SSD on other SATA port if possible
4. After changing SATA model from IDE to AHCI and re-install OS again
None of these fixed the problem.
I have an ASUS P6X58D-E Motherboard, i7, Windows 10 64bit. I know it's an old system but I have an older system that recognises the SSD in Magician without issue.
Has anyone had this problem and found a solution?
