Hello everyone,
I'll keep it short. I want to update my 990 Pro firmware via Samsung Magician, but it shows me this error:
The latest firmware is: 8B2QJXD7
So maybe because of this issue, Magician can’t recognize my SSD. It seems to be related to the RST driver.
The latest version of the RST driver available on the motherboard support page is 20.1.0.1015.
The latest version of the RST driver on Intel’s website is 20.2.6.1025.2. :
Intel says:
Note: Intel recommends that end users utilize driver updates provided by their system manufacturer/provider or via Windows Update to eliminate the potential impact caused by loading non-customized drivers. System manufacturers regularly customize Intel generic drivers to meet the needs of their specific system design. In such cases, use of the Intel generic driver update is not recommended.
Because of this, I'm afraid of potential issues or data loss caused by using Intel’s generic drivers.
I remember that last time I went through the update process, there weren’t any problems and it updated to 4B2QJXD7 via Magician.
