Hi
Bought a LF24T450FQRXXU yesterday and tried to update the firmware from 1003 to 1009 but i get a message that it expects a different filename for the file downloaded from Samsung.
The filename of the firmware file downloaded from https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/LF24T450FQRXXU/ is M-T4500FCFA-1009.2[9AB0].bin
The monitor is asking for M-T4500FCQB-****
I have seen on a couple of other threads this is a common issue and that i just need to rename the file to M-T4500FCQB-1009.2[9AB0].bin
For obvious reasons i am hesitant to do this. Is there any way to get the right file or confirmation that i can rename the file) from Samsung?

Hi @PB2024 ,
My knowledge of Samsung monitors is a little fuzzy, but if they follow the same sort of software naming convention as Samsung TVs then the “M-T4500FCQB” would be the software label (pertaining to a specific variant of hardware it’s for) and the number after the last dash (“1003”) is the iteration of it. Update release dates and versions can differ between hardware variants depending on what those updates are designed to address/improve for that specific variant (e.g. a 'QB' may have needed something that an 'FA' didn’t for whatever reason), so that would explain the dates and versions being all a bit out of kilter.
I had a click into each of the Upgrade Files on the page, and it would appear that each one has a different software label on the download file name:
M-T4500FCFB-1005.0
M-T4500FCQB-1003.0
M-T4500FCDA-1001.0
M-T4500FCPA-1000.1
M-T4500FCFA-1009.2

So now the date issue on the website is sorted I now have a further question.
The list of firmware updates for this monitor has been updated and now I can’t make sense of which is the latest.
I tried to go from 1003 to 1009 but now lower numbered firmware 1001, 1003 etc are dated as 7 Jan 2025 and a higher numbered firmware is listed as 1010 but dated 2023!!
What have I missed here?

Wow. So not tremendously user friendly or simple to follow.
I appreciate this information and I’ll have another look next week when I get time.
Thanks again

Right. So, after reviewing this it appears that my monitor firmware is up to date - M-T4500FCQB-1003.0
Many thanks @AntS for your explanation.

Hi @palamut , Latest one for your device would be M-T4500FCFA-1009.2.
It's confusingly listed as "Version 1010.0" on the Support page, and dated 05.12.2023 for the UK variant (or 2023-12-05, depending on your country's date convention).

Thank you for your answer. When you download v1010.0 , v 1009.2 comes out of the rar file 😂
