Galaxy Book 5 Pro - Paint issues

Hi all! Hope everyone is ready for Christmas! (only 2 days to go)😉

I bought a galaxy book 5 pro in may this year and all is ok with it other than the fact the front side of the lip has 2 paint scratches, the back of the screen has a chip below the samsung logo/name, and the paint is bubbling at the top.
For a 1 and a half thousand pound laptop this to me is shocking. The laptop is always carried in a padded case aswell so it cant be that. Its never been dropped, mishandled or anything else.

What should I do? Samsung support said I could contact assurant (samsung care +) to see about a repair (this was before I noticed the paint is now bubbling), but i dont think losing my device for 2 weeks for this is justifiable. Images attached.

@UNKNOWNUSERNAME: I'm very sorry to hear that your Galaxy Book5 Pro has been damaged, and I absolutely understand your concerns given the price point of the device. While I appreciate that you do not want to part with the laptop, please be aware that our warranty is repair based, therefore if you do wish to restore the device to its best, then an engineer's inspection and repair will be necessary.

I have looked into your options regarding Samsung Care+, and sadly the Accidental Damage coverage does not include cosmetic damage, and is only applicable if the damage stops the normal functioning of the device. You may still wish to speak with Assurant to discuss your options, however I cannot guarantee that they will be able to offer you an alternative resolution.

Cosmetic damage is not covered by or our standard warranty, however a chargeable repair can still be arranged if you are unhappy with the condition of the product. In this instance, please contact our Support Team via samsung.com > Scroll to the bottom of the page > Contact us, or book a repair online via our self booking portal (UK customers only).

Certainly seems a bit of a bitter blow even if it is functioning properly, hopefully you can find a satisfactory resolution.  Have a great Christmas 😁
