Morning

I got my G9 OLED last week and noticed quite often when i switch on my PC and get to the desktop I get flickering as shown in the video below

I have tried a different Display port cable and the one that came with it, also updated the firmware on monitor and running latest Nvidia drivers, I thought it might be something to do with running a 2nd monitor so unplugged that but still get the issue.

I had the first G9 before this and worked 100% fine nothing else was changed. Running an RTX 3090.

Should I be returning the monitor?

I've had my G93 for a week now and yes, I too started getting the dreaded flicker just like the original video in the post after day 5 of using it. I tried every possible thing to troubleshoot and nothing helped, except!! I just upgraded to the latest firmware today (1007.1) which was released recently and so far I haven't had the flickering return, even with DP 1.4 but I am not holding my breath since this issue seems to randomly pop back up eventually for most people who thought they were in the clear. I am thoroughly stressed out with this monitor at this point and just want it to stay working so i can be impressed again. I really don't want to have to return it but if the same issue continues over the next couple days I'm packing it up and taking it back for a refund.

I can confirm that since i updated to the newest Firmware i had no Flickering.

I hope they solved the issue, lets see if it appears again in the future, but so far it seems to be gone.

That's great news! I also have not had the flicker return since updating to 1007.1 and have been having a blast gaming/ sim racing.

I have had the same issue the past couple of months after owning the monitor for about year. I updated the firmware and it seems to have solved the issue for now. Thanks for the advice!

I can report that my G93 is now flawless as of the latest firmware as well. Glad they were able to fix this.

I know this is some time after the original post. but i hope it helps someone. I have recently encountered the same problem with my monitor. I have had it about a week now and i have experienced the same flickering intermittently. I updated the firmware and ensured that my GPU drivers were up to date , the firmware of the monitor was up to date and that the cable being used was connected properly and in good condition but the problem persisted. Then it occurred to me it may be an electrical issue. I have my monitor and pc plugged into a UPS , i also have a fan for cooling my room plugged into the ups. My power company totaled one of them with a power surge recently so it was to protect it from that. I remembered though that things like motors etc. don't run stable all the time and i really shouldn't have a motor plugged into the ups that my other pc equipment has been plugged into. Ever since i have removed the fan from being plugged into the ups the intermittent flickering has stopped. So perhaps its a voltage issue ,if you haven't solved your issue already i think it is something you could investigate.

I think you're on to something. I also use an UPS. Monitor shares the battery side with PC, router, and Wi-Fi.

I was getting the flicker in GoWR and this time it was pretty bad, like every couple minutes..

I switched the power for the monitor to the surge only side after reading your comment and the flickering has gone away as of this moment. If you're right about the voltage issue I think it would have been caused by the fluctuating voltage from the PC power supply? Will report back after using it like this at some point.

I just picked up 2 G95SC OLEDS yesterday and both had this exact flickering issue. I tried everything to make it stop and finally swapped from display port to HDMI 2.1 and problem solved. Hope this helps someone.
