Pretty excited that Samsung has released a firmware update for G5 monitor but think twice before you do so.

Firmware 1005 let you upscale to 4k directly from Window's Display Settings BUT, no matter you upscale or not you won't be able to use DSR (Nvidia) and the upscale will lock you frame rate @ 60Hz. Which DSR will not lock you frame rate.

One other thing is, you will lose the G-Sync option in Nvidia Control Panel. Even tho if you've turn on FreeSync. It will not act as G-Sync compatible on firmware 1005. if you decided to lose that G-Sync and DSR feature by Nvidia. Update. If not, NO! (Tested using Nvidia G-Sync Demo)

I'm not sure why Samsung is doing this or some kind of buggy firmware or Nvidia is not up to date yet. But we do know G5 is not listed as G-Sync compatible BUT still confirmed by many is a G-Sync compatible (IF not updating to firmware 1005)

27 model seems fine, mine is 32.

Maybe I was unlucky after a firmware update. Update yours if you like, that's just my story.
