I really think Samsung should create a DexBook series. Like a Google ChromeBook but with Samsung Dex instead. I believe it's their own system, and not being leveraged from another software. 

Which then enables them to make DexBook quite powerful but cheap still.

To be honest the samsung phones running android (by google) and a lot of the Google services and Google play store, so you pretty much therefore have a chromebook (by google).

Dex is an evolved desktop client that is able to use the phones resources, memory, HDMI video stream to interpret the phone UI to an external screen for a samsung desktop, but this is using the google apps that are installed on the phone.

So the Samsung chromebooks that are currently for sale are pretty much what you are suggesting.

Although I do think that Samsung, if needed, could venture away from Google and Microsoft and be quite successful too.
